My Creation in Green combined with an Achromatic Scheme...

Many of my readers have been asking me to do some scheme in the nature's own Green colour. I have personaly always liked green and so wanted to do something in green too. I had been looking around for some inspiration and then found this picture on Flickr by imelde. This put me to a thought process............. and....an instant outcome is this collage.
The products displayed here are from funrose, aunt sharon's attic, rosen berry, alcazar furniture and amara.

Baby Nursery Room ...

An expecting mom is always very excited about designing a beautiful room for her baby. All the nine months during the pregnancy, she is busy planning the various colour schemes, the different themes, the most necessary things, the not so necessary things and a whole lot of other aspects.

As a designer, I strongly believe that some major furniture that is to be bought should be a convertible. This means that as the baby outgrows...., the bed, the chair or the cupboards can be conveniently converted to suit the age and the necessity. Some pictures below will be a great source of inspiration for expecting mothers who are in the process of designing a nursery space for their little one.
I dedicate this post to my youngest sister Vidya who is a doting mother of 20 days old Baby Shriyanka.....

My sister is no less a designer herself. She has designed a beautiful nursery room in a Bumble Bee / Lady Bug theme for her newbie shriyanka. Here are some pictures of her creation. She purchased the center border from the stores and made some more wall stickers of the lady bug herself using some beautiful art paper.

This is an inspiration board that I made recently......... What is the theme you want to design your baby nursery room on???????

This is a rustic kitchen I would be soon working on. My client wants a totally earthy look to the kitchen and is particular about the colour Green with the feel of country side in the kitchen. This board is my inspiration. Will be working on this look and come up with some more work on this kitchen.....

Talk about Red and White.....

In my previous post of deriving colour schemes from nature, I had promised my readers about the discussion of the psychology of every colour in detail. Today, I observed that everywhere I see and read....its about the entry of a royal combination of plain white and bright red combined with either Silver or Gold for the elegance. White as we all know signifies cleanliness, purity and serenity. This is most opted for in a contemporary setting due to the neat feel of space it portrays. On the other hand, Red is the most prominent colour that we pay attention to. It is the warmest and most energic colour in the spectrum. Some of the associations of red include love, valentines, danger, desire, stop signs and many more. Here are a few pictures (via zu hause wohnen) for your view. ENJOY !!!!

Please share some of your thoughts on this colour scheme......or share a picture on this blog. Please email the picture to my email id vasudha.dilip@hotmail.com

The simplest way to do this is to identify a pot or a vase. Place a bouquet sponge which is readily available at flower shops. Pierce wooden sticks onto this sponge at different heights. Then using different cookie cutters, shape out the fruits and veggies. Add a few salad leaves for the natural leaf look. With a little imagination and creativity, you can turn out beautiful fruit and veggie bouquets. So, Have you already started cutting out your pineapple flowers???????????????
Enjoy your YUMMYyyyyyyyyyy bouquets.......
